The book had me thinking, it made me feel various emotions - I love when a book can do that. I'm actually looking forward to reading more books by the same author.-

Nice review. Life can be hard and that much more for an immigrant. The poet's glimpse to his former and later life as an immigrant is welcome. I guess surviving then is all about fortitude,faith and hope. Especially so with a family to care for.
