The 11:05 murders by Brain o Hare. Not my usual read but I must admit but it had a truly gripping description and in the end I truly loved the book. I just wish I read the first book in the series before this one.

This book is about the three brutal murders that would appear to be completely random. Except for the fact that they were all committed on a Tuesday and all three victims’ watches were stopped at 11:05. Add a stalker and mysterious informant into the mix and things get stranger. When detective Allen is nearly murdered it becomes difficult to tell exactly what was going on. A plan to catch the killer goes awry and results in a kidnapping and a daring rescue.

The novel focuses on WDS Steward who was transferred to the Serious Crime Unit after uncovering corruption at her previous station that ultimately I could led to her promotion. I can sympathize with her inability to create long lasting relationships after the fact but to be honest I didn’t really like her frankly I felt she was a bit uptight, very defensive and wary of those around her, but when she after she comes to accept those she works with, which comes as a bit of a surprise to her, she started to grow on me a bit.
Ultimately Chief inspector Jim Sheenan was my favorite and didn’t disappoint in the least, I love everything about him especially his relationship with the other characters especially his wife Maggie and the coroner Dr Campel. I found the man highly amusing and very intelligent with a wonderful work ethic.

All in all a brilliant crime thriller that had me on my toes the entire time. The characters were well developed and believable and never felt one dimensional. All in all an amazing novel, it was full of twists turns and surprises. The integrations between the characters had me engrossed and they definitely drew me in, I found the book very informative and definitely memorable.

I would recommend this book to anyone and give it 3 out of 4 stars. I did find a few spelling errors but with a reread and a bit of editing this book will definitely be a four star read. Definitely a gripping ride. Brain O Hare had outdone himself and I cant wait to read more of his books. Truly a outstanding book.
