The book, Hello, My Love by Evy Journey is an entertaining and romantic read for anyone who enjoys a light-hearted story about the journey two people make while falling in love. The story of Greg and Elise spans a period of time of quite a few years, starting from the time they meet and continuing as they navigate many twists and turns. The author tells parts of their story from both perspectives, which provides insight into the thoughts and feelings of each character.

Greg and Elise first meet through Elise’s father in a slightly orchestrated attempt on Greg’s part to gain an introduction. At first, Elise is unimpressed by Greg, but as their relationship develops she realizes there is more to him than meets the eye. Unfortunately, he is also engaged to be married. Before he gets married, though, his relationship with Elise changes, and the results will change both their lives forever. The story progresses to demonstrate that when two people are meant to be, nothing will stand in the way. The couple navigates through many obstacles to hopefully reach a happy ever after.

I thought the book Hello, My Love was a fun and entertaining read. It was interesting to see how Greg and Elise viewed parts of their relationship in different ways. I am sure that this reflects accurately how men and women can view the same things with their own unique perspective. It also served as a way to introduce some other interesting characters that would impact both of their lives, such as Elise’s parents.

There were some plot twists that were easy to predict, and the resolution to one climatic event was unclear at first. The result was made clear a little later on. Also, in the second half of the book, the final conclusion seems too much of a coincidence to really be completely believable. However, for someone looking for a light-hearted and easy read to bring out some smiles, I would definitely recommend this novel.

I give the book Hello, My Love 3 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed reading it and would consider reading other books by the same author. It was well-written and interesting. However, some of the dialogue did not flow naturally and it seemed that any twists or turns in the story were too easily and quickly resolved. I would recommend it as a good read to anyone who enjoys a romantic and fun story!
