My Trip To Adele is a fictional story written by two co-authors; A.I. Alyaseer and R.I.Alyaseer who are actually siblings. They had written some other books in 2011 and 2014 in Arabic bit were unfortunately rejected by traditional publisher. They didn't give up their dream of becoming authors and instead they translated the book into English and self- published it.

The story sets by bringing Elias into play. He's deeply lost in thoughts about the good scenery he beholds one evening. He's interrupted by Veronica's questions. The question about him leaving his wife ignite some complex emotions within him that hadn't dared to face all this time.

Nadia desparately seeks for two weeks leave to take his only son, waleed to Verona to attend Adele's concert. This is the best gift he wants to give Waleed on his tenth birthday. Lara, a lifelong friend calls Nadia and tells him that they had a fight with her boyfriend, Kamal. This phone call leaves Nadia pondering the eternal dispute about relationships between men and women.

Yaser and Maria are struggling in their marriage of 8 years to a point of visiting a marriage counselor, Dr. Brown. Everytime they are in constant heated arguments. They have come to realize that their life together amounted to nothing more than alienation, dispute, and sugar coated lies.  Yaser is making every possible step to go even into books in attempt to comprehend the complex relationship between the sexes but no answer to the question.

The three sets of relationships have two things in common; (a) disappointments and desperation for change towards working relationships, (b) they are all connected through their love of Adele and their desire to attend her concert in Verona, Italy. All of them are striving to revive their thwarted relationships. Almost all love relationships experience the same problems even in day to day life; faded intimacy. That's why many parties to the relationships will remain wondering what they saw in the other person and got engaged to them in the first place.

I feel the authors of the book bring out the same problems parties in love relationships experience every now and then in three different love stories. The issues of misunderstanding seem a mirage to many relationships. Lovers sometimes cannot even trace the remnants of love they used to share.

The events are well analysed and informative; struggling to revive that which seems case sealed and resurrecting that which seems to be long gone. The events are fantastic in description readers can get the emotions as they read through the stories. For instance I like the statement, 'nostalgia had captivated me. On this calm evening – with the streets gradually emptying as the night approached its zenith – the soft roar of passing cars, the music of amateur street performers and Veronica’s chatter were unable to hold my attention.' A statement like this makes a reader think through the story in depth. The book is fantastic and easy in grammar.

The book does one of very rare scenarios other writers bring about. They have given some kind of brief overview of the three love strories before going in depth in later pages. This is one of the styles that creates urge and suspense to a reader. One wouldn't just want to leave the book after reading the overview but would want to read to the last fullstop.

However, I would prefer the co-authors could have concentrated on one part of story and leave out the rest two to give it full energy of ideas.

All in all the book is enormously informative, educative and interesting. It is professionally written and edited without substantial errors and typos. I give it 4 out of 4 stars.
