First of all, I want to start by saying this book definitely surprised me. The title, for me, was misleading and at first, was slightly hesitant about reading it as I'm not an Adele fan. I had seen that it had a pretty good rating so eventually opened the book... and didn't stop reading.

It was much (MUCH!) more than just characters going to an Adele concert. I was completely consumed by the characters and their decisions and stories that I found it hard to put the book down. It's a fiction story that follows the lives of 3 families. Yaser and Mariam, a married couple who are having relationship troubles. Nadia, a single mum, still battling her ex-husband for the freedom of her child and finally, Elias, a man searching for lost love. The story goes on about their individual journey to an Adele concert in Verona, Italy.

For me, as I didn't really know what to expect, the book was full of intense and dramatic reveals that left me feeling overwhelmed with many emotions. Sometimes the book made me angry, sometimes it made me smile, sometimes it even made me cry.

At first glance, I was slightly overwhelmed with the character/chapter jumps but eventually, as I kept reading and time went on, the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. Questions were answered and I was satisfied. Also, each character was so different that I almost felt as though I was reading three books at once but never did I find myself confused with the stories. The writing was simple and not overly complicated so it is very much an easy read - although, the characters stories and journeys are not so easy.

Another thing, I personally am not a big Adele fan but could appreciate the lyrics and the links made throughout the book. It made the stories feel more real as the characters related to fragments of songs, as does every other human being on this planet!

Some characters were more relatable than others. I really liked reading about Yaser and Mariam. It was almost like a love hate thing. To me, they seemed the most relatable. I found myself annoyed with Nadia a lot but in the end, found a soft spot for her. (Plane scene made me cry! Loved it!) Elias, I also liked but his story was a little confronting at times.

Either way, the story was well written, the characters relatable and lovable. Overall, a great read. My rating is 3 out of 4. I did not rate it 4 as I am not so much into this genre but could still appreciate and enjoy it.
