Who Told You That You Were Naked? Is a review of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, the author is Pastor William E. Combs. The primary argument of this thesis is that humanity and a large portion of the Bible message has interpreted wrongly. The author argues that christian believers should be willing to cast away the illusion that send is a list of violations and rather except that sins are the inherited knowledge which is passed down from adam and Eve. The author argument that this knowledge allow us to recognise and analyse what is good and what is bad. The author further explored the nature of faith, challenges to faith and the difference between faith and work and what it truly means to follow a Christ.
However, it is truth that as we lack the perfect wisdom we often fail to understand and interpret this knowledge. Knowing without complete comprehension has led to Unreal perceptions which we can never hope to dispose of on our own. By trusting this that God competitions this contrast of good and bad in a way that we can never fully grasp, should we hope to obtain contentment and virtue?
In the beginning the book gave an impression that it's just another study of devotion and religion, but for the reading revealed that it's a combination of personal testimony, theoretical analysis, devotion and religion in all. The author is undoubtedly an expert wordsmith who had edited and revised his book writing is rich and suggestive applications are clear and pleasing. Moreover, the author digs into the original text sources which gives an accurate picture.
A major issue I noticed was comb's tendency to speculate he made some assumptions about the holy book data only pure suppositions they still have little evidence, which are based on authors personal ideas. Ultimately the author is right faith is not just the key tenant of Christianity its a sole factor, which truly matters. With faith everything Falls into place without it all your goodness, charity, knowledge, and prayers cannot serve.
In the end it's overall an excellent piece of literature. I rate this book 3 out of 4 as it is an insight genuine and an excellent source of deep study of Bible with a much-needed message for the believers. The book offers and eye opening account of the unconditional love of God as explicated in Christianity. This readable discussion on sin, faith, and salvation offers an inventive, informed take on Eden and the nature of faith.
