Lincoln Cole the author of Ravens-peak, published on the year 2015; really did a number on this mind-blowing epic book. Ravens-peak is where all hell breaks loose and the unknown supernatural, in this case a powerful demon, is on the brink of causing a major world disaster. The author really describes the town as a town distant from the rest of the world.
The story begins with the mysterious reverend Arthur Vangeest, who we come to learn has been in prison, locked up, incarcerated; himself from the outside world for 5 years. A young woman by the name Frieda, one of the 30 members of the council, seeks Arthurs help about the disappearance of three girls.
Arthur is reluctant to go but vengeance gets the better of him after learning Abigail Dressler his student, a daughter figure to him is among the girls. Just who exactly is author to be commissioned this mission by Frieda?
Arthur paves way for the introduction of our brave, young, female character Abigail. As a hunter for an organization called the council, she protects the world from the unknown supernatural. She battles around all that comes along her way receiving orders from the council.
The story unfolds as Abigail perseveres through all challenges and tribulation in an action-packed adventure to rescue Arthur or at least Arthur’s soul from the demon that captured her and the other 2 missing girls
In her quest Abigail meets Haatim, who becomes like a side kick as their travel across towns in an adventure of protecting the world from the evil that lurks in the dark in Raven’s Peak. The thriller does not disappoint at the end, as their metal, their faith, their very core, that which makes them human is tested as they face a demon like no other they have ever encountered
What really came appealing to me in this book is that there is a sense of mystery and suspense across the whole book. It just gives one the urge to keep on reading and continue flipping the pages. The plot did not disappoint on its own. It was really intresting to keep on reading to find out what happens next.
I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4. The author shows a clear command in grammar. The plot of the story is well-developed with a mind-blowing character development which left me turning pages faster than ever. The setting of the story is so well written that you can’t help but paint a clear picture of the environment and that which envelopes in the story. I am looking forward to the next book to quench my curiosity of what happens next. A really good book.
