My trip to Adele was co - authored by Rana I. Alyaseer and Ahmad I. Alyaseer. The book was self - published. Rana I. Alyaseer and Ahmad I. Alyaseer has written two other books, but they were written in Arabic, so My trip to Adele was their first book in English.
My trip to Adele talks about the authors ' love for Adele music. And it is this love that led to the writing of this wonderful and interesting book. Though at the beginning, I found it boring and I was contemplating may be to drop it, but I later decided to carry on with it and I am glad I did, because the book is great. And I wish it doesn't finish.
My trip to Adele is circled around six main characters which are Elias and Malika, Nadia and her son, Waleed and Yaser and his wife, Mariam.
The book begins with Veronica ( Elias's friend ) talking to him but Elias was lost in his thoughts. Veronica noticed this and asked if he is listening to her and Elias said yes but she knows it's a lie, so she asked him why he left her ( Malika ) if he loves her so much, but Elias couldn't tell her the reason. Malika is the love of his ( Elias ) life whom he left, but with the promise of meeting her again at Adele concert one day. After Elias walked Veronica home, he bid her good bye and headed home. But on his way home he meet a shawafa ( fortune teller ) who read his palm and asked him to visit his home town.
Yaser and his wife, Mariam are having some marital problems, so they decided to see a marriage counsellor so as to safe their marriage. The marriage counsellor asked them to think back to a moment of affection they both shared so they can work on that to revive their love. Because of what the counsellor suggested for Yaser and his wife, Yaser thought of attending Adele concert with his wife may be they will be able to think of a moment of affection they both shared.
Nadia who is a single mother was trying to request for an unpaid leave at her place of work so as to be able to take her son for Adele concert which happens to be the birthday gift she promised him but unfortunately the leave was not granted on the basis of un tangible reason. But Nadia was determined to take her son for the vacation at any cost and she will not let anything stand in her way, not even her job.
You need to read this book to find answers to these arising questions. Why did Elias left Malika? Will Elias re - unite with Malika at Adele concert? Why was Elias asked to visit his home town? Were Yaser and his wife able to revive the moment of affection they both shared at Adele concert? Nadia been a strong and determined woman, was she able to take her son for the concert?
The authors did a great job with the way they blend each chapter with a marching Adele song. I found nothing to dislike about this book so I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. The book was well edited so there was no typographical error in it. I will recommend this book for everyone both single and married.
