Book Blueprint- HOW ANY ENTREPRENEUR CAN WRITE AN AWESOME BOOK, by Jacqui Pretty, is a non-fiction literary work. Looking for a way to move past inspiration and learn how to develop a clear and concise format to writing a book? If so, then Book Blueprint is the source to achieve this goal. Although Book Blueprint’s targeted readers are Entrepreneurs, it’s still a very easy manual for the development of any book genre. Jacqui Pretty provides the foundational principles and the prospective writer builds onto the foundation, creating a hopeful best seller.

Jacqui Pretty has a unique way of guiding her readers through each step to ensure the success of a well written book. No writing experience is required, per this expert, to create a documented masterpiece. However, planning is a must. Book Blueprint will help any prospective writer identify their passion and cultivate a foundation for each chapter until completion. Prospective writers will learn how to identify their audience and appropriately choose a book format. Idea worksheet questions are formulated at the end of each chapter to assist the writer with each task discussed. “Structure smooths the writing process, as readers experience real world benefits.” Writers will learn how to answer the what, how and why within each chapter, to give a sense of completeness for the audience. I’ve read many instructional tools on how to write a book and was either more confused, discouraged or both. Now I understand why. Jacqui Pretty’s instructional tool provides complete directions for 5 types of book formats, whereas other books may focus on one type of book format which may not be appropriate for your ideas.

Chapter 8 is truly “The cherry on top.” Engagement is the key. Have you wondered how in the world will your book make the cut out of hundreds with a similar theme? Jacqui Pretty homes in on the value of personality which causes your potential best seller to stand out among the rest. This chapter is a major encourager for any prospective writer to see their book idea to the end. For example, I am sure many others have written a review on this book. What’s different here? My personality makes it different from any other review. Skeptical? Take a look for me, as I wanted my review to be authentic and have not made any comparisons. I am confident you will find none of the reviews are exactly the same (or at least it should not be.) This means, your potential award winning book will not be written exactly like anyone else’s because of your personality and writing style, as Jacqui Pretty stated within this chapter.

In conclusion, Jacqui Pretty’s methods focuses on the end result; a potential best seller. She teaches the writer how to “Build your credibility and convert your audience into loyal disciples and hopefully paying customers.” Although inspiration may be needed, but once you run out of steam, then what? And if you’ve written anything beyond a paragraph, you can relate. The answer? “Planning the right idea, right structure, and right content to conceive and deliver a substantial piece of work.”

I really liked this book and I gave it a 4 out of 4 stars. Jacqui Pretty was very thorough with the book writing process and made me feel as though I had my own book writing consultant. However, being used to writing with the traditional outline process, it was difficult to transition into the mind mapping concept. I would like to have seen an example of the traditional outline process as an alternative for fossils like me, stuck in my old ways. The difficulty is strictly on my part and indicates nothing amiss with the book itself. If you’re able to embrace mind mapping, it seems to be much easier to chart the course of your thoughts for each subject and subtopics within the development of each chapter. Book Blueprint is a very valuable instructional tool for any prospective writer looking for a complete tutorial from conception to completion. Thank you for the opportunity to review this book.
