Randy Love…at your service by Shay Carter is a fictitious book with Randy love as the main character, it focuses on him from birth and his hassles in life till adult hood using a British setting.

Randy lost his mum at an early age and grew up becoming a charming person who ladies especially always flock after but he lived through life majorly as a selfish individual who thought himself smart and could always out smart others. This made him to keep changing houses, jobs and relationships losing a lot of money especially house deposit in the process. He was not a man with ego though and this usually come as a surprise to people he comes in contact with as he believe and live with the ideal that if you do not ask, you do not get. His way of life and ideology were in contrast with other member of his family who were well stable and successful.

Randy started with doing menial jobs giving his dad the idea he was going back to school to complete his education but he later decided to secure a permanent job after which he left his town and moved to London with a hope for a better future.

The story had a lot of character that I lost touch with most, I sometimes find myself trying to retrace a particular character and how he relates to Randy and having to look them up when they were first mentioned, this slows down reading process. Over all it was very well written grammatically, I did not notice any error.

It was not a very captivating read and as such could not hold my attention for a very long time, the only motivating factor was to know what will finally become of Randy, how he will cope with his kind of life.

The book ended with Randy realizing his self-centered nature with the help of his sister, he set out to make amend starting with his niece and then to recovering his relationship with Nicky. He was to become more considerate of others. The book ended at this point of his realization so we would not know if he was able to continue on this new part.

I would rate it 2 out of 4 stars. As it is not very intriguing, most of the other characters were not very well defined which usually breaks the reading flow when they are mentioned.

I would recommend the book to people who are not really into romance books as it not fully a romantic book but has a mix of romance and self-realization.
