Twenty-six years old Patrick Carter has a dark, deep hidden past and as a result he shies away from the limelight. However one day as he is walking home he hears someone screaming for help. He rushes to the river and jumps into the water and rescues a girl named Samantha McLeod and his life changed dramatically from then. The Task Force will stop at nothing to find Samantha's attackers. Will they find out who attacked Samantha and why? Is Samantha's attack linked to other crimes?

Miss Rene Natan is the author of Lemoncelle Cocktail which is a story with relatable and likable characters. For example Patrick is a kind and thoughtful young man and he risked his life to save another person's life. Jessica McLeod (Samantha's grandmother) is warm and appreciative of the help she gets from others. I liked these and other characters and I would want them to be my friends.

The premise of the book is strong and it has the potential to grab the attention of many readers. At first I thought that this book would be a strong crime or mystery story but it turned out to be a light crime story and more suitable to young adults. This book was not edited properly. There were mistakes in spelling, for example one character's name was Emy (female character who helps out in the investigation) and once it was referred to as Emily.

There were some scenes that could have been expanded and be more intense, but the author just mentions the events briefly in these scenes. For example there was an attempted murder at a hospital and one character just stated that it took place. The language was a bit foul at times.

The significance of the title was not revealed until the very end. This was a bit frustrating because I searched for the significance of the title from the beginning and throughout the story. It was a little confusing that even when I learned about the meaning behind the title, it did not have a strong link to the rest of the story.

I found this book to be interesting although it did not keep me at the edge of my seat. I give this book 3 out of 4. I did not give it 2 because of the interesting story line and the likable characters. I did not give it 4 because of the errors and the title was not strongly linked to the story. Some areas of the book could be improved. The plot could be more exciting and some scenes could be more interesting and have more action and drama. It needs some editing and more work to make it a stronger crime story.
