This book promises to do one of the things I love most about books, and that is the power to make you travel through space and time and going to places you'd never imagine to be in your natural life. The author describes Kashmir in such a beautiful way that it only serves in making it all even more painful because how can a place so beautiful become a place of such grief and suffering because people with power decided to? The investigation done into writing this book was absolutely brilliant, and all the testimonies given to show the humanity of it all and put it a face and say "this is not a faceless war. these are the people that are suffering" is actually something powerful and that left me a bit speechless.
