It's nostalgic to find and read a book that reminds us of our childhood's favorite bedtime story. Who is Bear? Idk if I miss it in your review, are they a person, or a literal bear?

This book sounds like a riveting read. I like that the character development of this book is impressive and fluid. However, I'm not a fan of war stories. Otherwise congrats on the BOTD!

I love reading stories on war and survival because it is not always easy to adapt to social life after war. Thanks for the review.

The bronze bear statuette is not just a good luck charm but a spirit guide that leads Fred through the trials of war and life.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

This seems to be an interesting feel-good, war book. I want to read more about Fred's good luck charm; Bear and his role in Fred's life. Thanks for your great review.

I’m usually not a big fan of war stories but Fred sounds like a well-developed character and I’m interested to know how the bear charm affects Fred’s life!

The book looks like something I would enjoy greatly. Character development is something I look for, and I'm happy to see that it's there in the book.

Fred's story and persona seem to be well-written and complex. However, I'm not interested in books that talk a lot about wars. The themes of loss, friendship, loyalty, and survival are interesting though. Congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

This is a great review for this enthralling story of Fred and his lucky charm, bear.Although,this story means one painful event because it is another war story, I think the author has created another approach that it will not tear the heart of the reader,rather it creates heart-warming lessons and inspirations from the great characters of the story.Congrats BOTD!

I don't always read war stories but this one seems to stand out. An interesting story with well-defined characters is all I ask for in a novel. And it seems that this book has all of it! Thanks for the detailed review!
