This story sounds fascinating. An arrogant and self-centered surgeon breaks the law and gets sent to prison, and then escapes and hides out in the wilderness! Great plot. Thank you for the review.

Thanks for the thought-provoking review! This book seems really different than those I’ve read lately and this has me intrigued. I like how it’s divided into two parts— the rise and fall of this interesting character I think I might love to dislike. Adding this one to the list!

Good choice on cover - certainly capable to catch attention. I was tempted by it to read reviews and let me tell you, I am not disappointed. Sophisticated plot, matured characters and fascinated story. I can't wait!

I like the idea of rise and fall because nothing is right in this world anymore if evil people do not get his comeuppance.

Yeah, the book is very nice but the first pages, around five to ten, you just read without getting the clear picture of what the book is all about, but rather enjoying the flow of the book. What I can say, the book is more of entertaining the reader.

This book covers a lot of topics. I was surprised that it included exposure of foundations whose benefit to society sometimes doesn't justify the tax exempt status. Thanks for the review.

Great review!! I think I would read this book simply because I enjoyed the last book I read written by William H. Cole. This book does sound interesting and I like that it is suspenseful
and fast paced. I also like that it showed consequence for a bad action. I probably will read this one.

I read this book a few months ago and agree with the reader that the plot is suspenseful and the characters well-developed. Coles is a great author. I have read a few of his books and all are excellent.

McDowell by William H. Coles is a #Literary #Fiction novel revolving around the rise and fall of Hiram McDowell, a self-centered and ambitious surgeon. It is a very concrete story which attested that #Redemption was not deprived even to the most despicable being. Readers could get lessons on various personal and familial issues tackled in this book.

I enjoyed reading this book like I had noticed you also did. Thanks for the great review.

A story that breaks down the rise and fall of a surgeon who does what he must to be on top. This story sounds suspenseful and like it will engage the reader. McDowell has a dark past that the reader gets to see from the beginning, and of course, you have to wonder when he'll get his, but it's just a matter of time. Thanks for the interesting review!

I read the sample of this book and I have to say it is well written and it captivated my attention within the first few pages. I enjoyed how the author introduced the characters and how you could imagine yourself in the certain time in which the book is set in. It was a great sample and I plan on purchasing the book.

It's almost like two books built into one with the separate sections for the rise and fall of a single character. The arrogant doctor's story has plenty of lessons that any reader can take away. Great review.
