I have to say that I don't think I would typically opt to read a book about a celebrity but your review may have changed my mind.

After reading your review and the sample pages, it sounds like a very entertaining book. Even if it's partly fictional, it also sounds like readers stand to gain a lot from reading the book. I appreciate your detail on the themes addressed and some of the thought-provoking paths we could all stand to venture down.

I always enjoy seeing longer reviews, whether good or bad. It shows the depths of a journey a book tales the reader on. We typically can't find much to say about a book that isn't very interesting. So thank you for your time in showingthat this may be one worth reading!

The Barbra Streisand! This is a wonderful retelling of the interviews, articles and other material that the author collected about this multi-talented woman. Even if her own mother couldn't see her beauty, we all can. Thanks, Dr. Bond.

Thanks, Gracie777, for this enthusiastic review! I am glad you found so much to love about the book.

I'm not too interested in reading about the lives of celebrities, or many other memoirs or fictional adaptations of them. From reading your enthusiastic review, I'm really glad you enjoyed reading about Barbara Streisand. Thank you for the review.

Might be an interesting read, but I disagree that the purpose of living is growing.

This will surely be a goodread. It is sometimes conceptualized that superstars usually have unique elements/traits that make them successful. However, in this book it looks that this is not the case as Streisand seems to have a life full of struggles that she has to overcome just like the normal person. this is an excellent read.

I read the excerpt and was debating whether I wanted the entire book. It seems thoughtful and well-written, and I loved how the New York accent was written in.

The reviewer says that "Alma H. bond has carefully, thoughtfully and beautifully written this memoir. I think and believe it should be a compulsory reading for the whole human race for it possesses rare gems of wisdom found nowhere else." (sic) That is quite a statement to make, to say "read this book."

The writer was able to point out some important points that the author tried to make. The review provided contains misspelled words, incomplete sentences, and thoughts about her own personal life.

I am surprised, to say the least, that this review was chosen to represent this book.

A fictional narrative of Barbra Streisand's life sounds like it will be very interesting. I sounds like it's for me, I enjoy books where the character must overcome struggles in life.

An "inspiring journal of (one of) the most influential female superstars in modern history." The author describes imaginary sessions with Barbara Streisand. Not for me, but I'm sure others would be glad to read on this one. Thank you for your review!

Interesting write up about something unusual. It's nice to get to read about how possible it is for a woman in stardom to also live a neutral life and how challenging it could also be.

Great woman with truly inspiring life-story which I would have loved to read if I didn't detest memoirs in general. As it is I will have to pass this book, no offense in mind to Barbara, author or reviewer.

Wow, this a very long review but I admit that it is very good. Thanks for this. At least I now know whether or not I will be reading this book. The fact that a reader will actually find it very easy to relate with Barbra is amazing. I love the various tips outlined in this book and as listed in this review. Indeed, we all have something to learn here.

Nice review! I love how happy you were that you read this book. I think any book that can make someone as happy as this book made you is definitely a winner for me. I've only read the first few sample pages so far, but that alone definitely made me want to check this one out. :)

This is the most enthusiastic review I have ever read in OBC. Your enthusiasm is summed up in these words: "
This book makes my membership in OnlineBookClub.org worth more than a trillion dollars"

I added this book to my want to read list, but after this glowing review, I am going to move it to the top of the list. Great review! Well done!

I know very little about Streisand, but I love memoirs and biographies, plus the excerpts the review are wonderful, so I think I'll check this one out!
