This sounds like a charming book. I specifically love the sensible and meticulous narration of the climbing process by the protagonist. This is a must read for me. Excellent review.

I would like to read this book. It seems the author has a strong belief in trying this to answer some questions for himself and maybe this adventure was on his bucket list to complete in his lifetime.

This is not something I would normally read, but this story sounds pretty incredible. A man who went from an amateur mountaineer, to conquering the 7 summits, is inspiring, to say the least. I'm looking forward to savoring this story, as the reviewer suggested.

Despite being inspirational, I'm not sure if I will be able to relate to this since I don't do any climbing.

Thanks for the thorough review, but this doesn't sound like my kind of book. I'm really not interested in this tome that "documents David Mauro’s journey from a clueless mountaineering rookie to a proud conqueror of the Seven Summits".

The Altitude Journals by David J Mauro is a story of the fight, fight for dreams. When the dream is too big then we have to fight hard. Climbing a mountain is too hard. We have to be very strong, strong from inside and outside. I think the story is very inspiring, not only for people who want to climb the mountain but for everybody.

After reading this review I feel as though I would enjoy this book very much. I am not all that interested in the mountaineering portion of the book, but from this review I understand that there is much more to this book than the mountain climbing. Though it was said that this book could be a "Mountaineering for Dummies" book, I believe that the spiritual journey and personal anecdotes would be very interesting. Thank you for this wonderful review.

Interesting topic. As a child, I also engaged in a kind of mountaineering... once we climbed through abandoned buildings and without any insurance and equipment. And then one boy fell off a ledge when he was trying to get on the roof and got smeared on a concrete pole below. So that dangerous all of this deal, game with life and death...

Really liked that you gave some advice on how to read it. Reading it fast and abrupt may leave the reader confused and frustrated, thus giving up the book and missing the important lesson it has. Thanks for this honest and thorough review. Really appreciate how you laid out some minor faults but still was able to look past it and gave the review a 4 out of 4 stars. :tiphat:

My friends are into mountain climbing and they often share the self satisfaction they have once they conquer a mountain. I guess my friends and the author share the same satisfaction, self discovery and healing whenever they climb a mountain. I am excited to recommend this book to my friends.

A personal memoir of a 44-year old of his ups and downs sound amazing. It's also a good motivational read and an educative one.

From a sampling, this journal following the author's conquest of the greatest natural heights and for those that are either fans of mountain climbing or of those who are challenging themselves. It is definitely worth a second look. Well done.

this is so encouraging, if an old man can manage to climb seven mountains at that?what can a youthful person do with all his energy and muscles. I stand to take the challenge of the seven mountain

Good Lord! How did that happen? I'm not waiting to check that out thought. You have got here a standard review. Nice job!
