War and violence are not actually my cup of coffee. But from your review, it is quite understandable that the extremities of war were diluted and made into a form which everyone can digest. I would love to read such stories. Thanks for the nice review.

This story, The Bronze Bear by Jerry A. Greenberg, sounds like an interesting. Fred, the lead character, is a truly brave man. His transition in life is truly inspirational. Generally, this war story sounds intriguing. Well done on the review.

War, loss, and pain go hand in hand. I am curious to see how Fred's good luck charm Bear helps him through life and especially war. Thank you for the interesting review.

It is like based on the real story behind that. By the way the plot of story is mind blowing especially for me and I hope someday I can write down novel genre like this one as my magnum opus.

This is a story about a boy named Fred that takes him from childhood to war with his good luck charm Bear. Per the official review it is an interesting story with great character development and a fluid story. Based on the sample and official review I would recommend this book and it did receive 4-stars. Most books that involve war drag on with details about battles but this book did not dwell too long on war but focused on the lives of the characters. Very good review.

I am not fond of wartime stories, yet the charming style of storytelling the review mentions allures me. Thanks for the recommendation!
