A cat detective and her animal sidekicks. That sounds like fun. Cats are curious little things by nature, so that would fit with being a detective. I think my granddaughter will love it. Truth be told, I'll probably like it too. 💕

Inca continues her sleuthing business in exotic Sri Lanka! I have read two books in the series and look forward to enjoying this new one. My favorite among the furry detectives is Fromage; we both love cheese. I can't wait to meet the baby elephant. Though several decades older than the target audience, I am a certified Inca fan!

This sounds like a great childrens' story book. Looks great for the ages specified. I think this one where a cat and and friends trying to solve a mystery sounds interesting. It's written like a diary. I am in process of reading it. Thanks for the review.

Knowing my kids, this book won’t probably meet their taste, but it is sounds an excellent reading for the youngest.

Great review! Sounds like a totally solid book for kids, though I would agree that not incorporating the location into the book more was a missed opportunity. I don't even know much about Sri Lanka. This book isn't something I would normally read, and I don't have any kids, so I would personally give this book a pass. Thanks for the commentary!

The book was an interesting read about animals that meet up and solve the mystery of the stolen sword. The cat which is the main character is keeping a journal of what is happening throughout the case. He is keeping track of the animals he met along the way. The book will help kids identify the different types of animals as they appear. It also gets the mind to wander about the classification of the animals.

This story seems so fun for kids - I like the concept of a cat detective. Love the culture aspect of Sri Lanka. Bravo! I added to my want to read shelf.

I remember seeing the first book in this series and loving the idea of Inca as the head of a cat detective agency. The illustrations are wonderful as well. Thanks for the review and to the author for the book.

Thank you for your thoughtful review of this story. I am an avid cat fan, so this book was a must have for me. This story sounds fun, but I must admit that, like you, I am disappointed that the author doesn't give us more about Sri Lanka. I think that it would have taken the story to the next level. Also, it would have been great for the children as this is a children's book. I think that this will be a fun story to share with my daughter though. I look forward to reading this book and following along with the kitties.
