What makes a man a 'man' sounds like an interesting concept for a novel. I like that it spans over 15 years too. I'll be reading this as you've convinced me to try it. Thanks for a great review!

I like how you categorize the men according to how they make themselves the most useful - the narrator being the whiner. Nice review!
