After reading your detailed review, I am interested in reading the book. It sounds like it gives a fresh angle to a war story.

I love war stories, so this is definitely for people like me. I love that you say there was good character development, that is what I judge a good book with.

I like the idea that the bear's spirit is in the charm and it guides and protects Fred throughout his life. Thank you for your review.

This is an enchanting story about a guy named Fred and his Journey through life. He has a good luck charm; Bear. It is a story of war, survival, trust, friendship, loss and Fred’s transition into social life after war. The book is an intriguing read.
The review is superb.
Congratulations on Botd 🎉

Thanks for the great review. The writer's way of telling the story as a night novel told by the grandfather gave a special touch to the war story, making it warmer and different from other war novels. Also, following Fred's transformation from a shy kid to a strong young man and warrior soldier through his journey through life is intriguing.

I don't care for war stories, but I get the impression from your review that this book is so much more than a war story. The tale of the bear charm intrigues me, and I have lovely memories of my grandparents' anecdotes.
Great review!

I've never enjoyed anything that has to do with war but the Bronze Bear book intrigued my childhood memories ( you know bedtime stories). This is indeed a great book and I'm gonna read it to my daughter before she sleeps. Its so wonderful from the start until the end.

It's interesting to see how Fred grew up to be a fine young man with his imaginative world with a bronze bear, his charm. Your book review has captured the spirit of the book. Well done BOTD.

I love emotional stories where a journey of a character is vividly painted by his actions and outlook towards life. This review tells me that I am going to get the mellow vibes of goodness and transformation in the story. The good luck charm, the Bear, and it's close connection with Fred also pulls me towards it.
A wonderfully written review it is!

War stories are not my usual preference, but something tells me that this one is different. I loved your review!! Thank you!

Told in the 1st person POV, today's BOTD is an engaging story about Fred's journey through life and the bronze bear that stuck with him through it all, helping him become the person he was meant to be. I've downloaded my copy, and I cannot wait to start reading! Thank you again! :-)

I am pacifist myself and as such war stories never were one of my preferences. Moreover any, even meager mention of soldiers, battles or war turns me off and kills any chances of me enjoying a book, movie, painting. Apologies, but I will have to pass this one, but still congratulations on the BOTD!

I like how the author breathed life into his characters. I love when a character is shown his or her maturation. From a shy young man he became a warrior and then an impressive young man.
