Some scary stuff certainly exists in real life, huh. Cultism is definitely a reality, and I’m glad that the authors took the challenge of engaging a discussion on the delicate topic. I can imagine that Burchard’s LSW degree helped her navigate some of the thoughts, motivations, and implications of cultism, as well. Sounds like a fascinating book that I would be interested in reading! Thanks for a great review!
I've come across people who have suffered due to cultism. This book has provided me the insight of the problems they must have faced. Thanks for the kind words. :D

I think a non-fiction book such as this one - with real experiences and real steps that were taken - would give more concrete answers. Seems like there's a lot to learn here. Thanks for this review!
It was very tough for Liz to get out of this thing, but I'm glad that her determination conquered her fears. Thank you for the kind words. :D

Great review. I often shy away from non-fiction. Writers often say that even if it happens in real life, people won't believe it if you put it in a fiction novel. Not the case here and sounds traumatic and uplifting at the same time. Fair play to the author for sharing her story, too.

Wow.

Cultism where I an from is in a whole different mode but the emotional consequences are the same and still very traumatizing
We do need these type of friends and encouragements in life generally

Your Review is amazing, it males me want to go look at it
I may add it to my shelf
For me, For man & For God.

Great review. I loved how you summarised the entire story; after reading your review I was able to decide whether the book was for me or not.

These are the kind of reviews that let you know exactly what you're getting yourself into before even picking up the book. Thanks for such a great review

I'd like to know what cultism mean. Nice review
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen
