I totally agree. I think we should encourage young ones (and ourselves) to look for a more rounded life experience focused on wellbeing, not only on success.
Thank you!

I used to dislike graphic novels until I met Arthur Hartz's work. Trust me, it's worth the read, even with the subtle misogyny.

I don't think the book is meant to be offensive. Even the cartoon about the Bible passage isn't especially disrespectful, in my opinion. I hope you enjoy it!

Sounds quite interesting and I think he has hit the nail on the head because it's true that our societies are obsessed with success that we tend to overlook other important things.
I totally agree. For me, wellbeing and overall happiness are more fulfilling than so-called success.
Thank you!

NDeMeer wrote: 17 Aug 2020, 10:18 What an intriguing concept. This sounds like a fun and humorous way to deal with such issues. I do agree with you though that often portraying women as using their appearance for success seems a bit... cliche, actually. An interesting book nonetheless. I'll consider picking it up sometimes. Thanks for the review!
It is a stereotype that I don't think we should perpetuate. But, overall, it is a splendid book. Thank you for your insight!

Success, like happiness, is subjective. It shouldn't be just what others think but more on self-perception, ultimately.

Great, nicely-written review! You've got well-supported, plausibly-constructive points, too, among other good things.

It is true that some women use their looks to climb the ladder of success but as you clearly put it it's just an exclusive category not all .Good review.
