Awww, it's sad that you jumped on this installment without checking out the preceeding ones. And you mentioned not liking the end of this episode. On that regard, I suggest that you considered that this is a continuing book, so this end is not the actual end. There's more in store.
Personally, I'm a big fan of this series, and I think you should start the story from the beginning. You'd appreciate it better.

I have finished this book as well. The author added Sophie Shore and Beth but their presence in this novel weren’t strong enough. I enjoyed reading your review. It was well-written and very honest.

Nice review . I also did a review on this book and you can check it out. My favorite scene was the failed attempt to assassinate the king, I think that scene brought out the needed action in subsequent scenes in the book keeping readers anxious on the next line of action .

That was quite a sceen, I have to agree. The chaos in Voulhire is unprecedented Thank for your comments!

You are brave to jump into this series at the third book! I haven’t read any of the We Are Voulhire books. I decided to read the series vicariously through all the wonderful reviews. It seems the female characters are slow to develop in the series. Thank you for your honest take on this one.

I do think that the lack of strong female characters is also a miss – personally, I think "science fiction is usually male-dominated" is no longer applicable nowadays. Thanks for the review.

This my best on the series We are Voulhire the author continues to leave his readers on suspense, Galen is still my favorite character on this. Otherwise great review.

I strongly believe that you'd have a different view on this installment when you read the previous books of the series. This is actually the lowest rating that I've seen on any of the books in the series.
