As a parent, this book terrifies and inspires me in equal measure. The thought of my child facing such a diagnosis is gut-wrenching, but seeing how this family fought through it gives me hope. I wonder if I'd have the strength to document everything so thoroughly if I were in their shoes. It must have been both therapeutic and traumatic.

Latest Review: First Survivor by Mark Unger

The medical jargon might be a bit much, but I appreciate the author's dedication to accuracy. It's like being thrown into the deep end of cancer treatment, which is probably how the family felt. Maybe I'll learn something that could help me be a better advocate for my own health or my loved ones'

"First Survivor" offers a powerful and educational account of a family's battle against childhood cancer. Mark Unger’s narrative is both moving and informative, providing a detailed look at the medical and emotional journey of his son Louis. It’s an inspiring read that highlights resilience and the importance of informed decision-making in healthcare.
