The political and magical intrigues of Voulhire are explored throughout the novel. The dread of being toppled drives King Wilhelm's paranoia and betrayal, which leads to a volatile political environment, especially with Midius Maido's impending arrival. I adore it. Congratulations on BOTD.

I read and reviewed this novel a few years ago and I still remember how this novel was basically a big prologue that introduced a fantastic fictional world full of magic and dangers of various types with well-developed characters. It's a terrific start for this series. Thank you for your great review!

Galen Bray seems to have a world of adventure ahead of him. That is quite interesting, as I will love to see how he navigates this journey. Great book with a great storyline.

This book presents an opportunity to explore the entire world of politicking and the magic that surrounds Voulhire. I'm very much in love with the character development, it is quite distinctive and something one can hold onto because of how real they feel.

Although the story revolves around Galen Bray, I tend to have a keen interest on Meldorath. There something about him that I read in the premise that makes him a character to look out for. This is all thanks to the author's character development.

It has been a while since I read a book with a big fantasy world with mages and monarchies. I cannot wait to see how Galen's adventure unfolds. Hope I can finish it soon!

Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review of *We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies* by Matthew Tysz. Your insights into the intricate world-building and diverse characters have certainly piqued my interest. I especially appreciate how you highlighted the balance between Galen's personal journey and the larger political and magical intrigues at play. It's encouraging to hear that the character development, particularly with Rowan, is so well done, adding both heart and humor to the story.

Your remarks on the pacing and plot connections are understandable, especially since this is the first book in a series. It's clear the author has laid a strong foundation for future adventures, and I’m excited to see how the plot evolves in the next installments. Also, it’s great to hear that the book is well-edited, which always makes for a smoother reading experience.

Your recommendation for mature teenagers and adults who enjoy fantasy, mystery, and suspense is spot on. This sounds like a perfect read for fans of complex worlds and characters. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts; I’ll definitely be adding this book to my reading list!
