I, too, have begun to read this book. Like you I have enjoyed the comic elements. The ridiculous deaths that you alluded to, the comical characters that all had serious moments. Such a fun book to lighten up a gloomy day. I am reading it in between more serious stuff and I am glad to read that it does not disappoint but continues to shine all the way through to the end.
