From the book sample, the read does sound intriguing. The review has added on to my curiosity of it. I can't wait to get my copy. Thanks for the detailed review.

I sampled the book on Amazon. This is a historical fiction set in 24 AD. It involves the Celtic tribe and the Roman empire and the conquest for power. The Celtic tribe princess Catrin has superpowers, which adds to the thriller aspect of this historical fiction. The pace of the story is good and readers of historical fiction should definitely go for this. Cheers :) :)

This book has been the book of the day and book of the month once, and it still sounds pretty amazing. I think the love entanglement between Catrin and Marcellus contributed to the success of this story. It made it more refreshing because such love doesn't happen often. In every sense, this is a great read. I love the combination of historical fiction with action in the book. Thanks for the detailed review.

Thanks for sharing, great review. I have always liked stories like this. Kings and queens, armies, duty and honor. And most of them have at least one added story of forbidden love. Two people from opposing families falling in love. Just like this one. I already have this book one, and book two in my library to read.

I already read this book when it was book of the month in September, and your review hits the nail right on the head in regard to the author bringing to the forefront the Celtic culture. Like you, I had no knowledge of any of their history, and I found myself pleased to see that the women had freedoms to a certain extent. The arranged marriages were a bit tense! Your review makes me want to read it all over again because the book was so good. I think the twin sister was mentioned to be brought up in another book. The second one is out, but I haven’t read it as of yet. Great job on this review. It sounds like you enjoyed the book as much as I did!
