Sounds quite good enough to feel sorry that this book is not free today! Crime thriller my favorite genre, plots about jealousy and murder favorite kind of such stories. So this book is pretty much right up my alley. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

This books sounds like a very well written story with many twists and turns along the way. I think that this book is the perfect starter in the series especially since it ends unexpectedly. I also like that the beginning of the book starts out unassuming, but takes a darker turn after the death of Peter. The teaming up of the Father Montero and the crime scene investigator Lori Sanchez is also a good plot line.

The sample of this book had me hooked, and your review solidified my interest! The three friends' idea is wild and certainly makes for a great story. I like that the main characters are a priest and a female detective, as well. This book is definitely going on my shelves. Thanks for the great recommendation!

The idea for the story is so good, but it seems very unlikely that a murder case would progress so quickly and end with a guilty verdict and a death penalty sentence where a body was not found and there was so much doubt in the mind of Det. Sanchez that it was a murder. She was very suspicious that the crime scene had been set up so perfectly. If there was any doubt of his guilt, I don’t think he would have been given the death penalty. My favorite thing about the book is that a priest is looking into the case after the execution. I like the way everyone slips up and uses vulgar language while they are speaking to him, then they are embarrassed and apologize.

Your excitement about this book is well communicated in your review. I am a fan of suspense; I am not particularly excited about the crude language. Nevertheless, I will seriously consider adding this book to my shelves.

I don't usually read crime thrillers, but I'm currently reading another book by the same author and quite enjoying it, so maybe I will check it out. I'm interested to see how a stunt meant to launch budding writers' careers ties in with the other events as well. Thanks for a great review!
