Nice to know that the chapters are short and move quickly. That might get the reader's attention. And great that the characters are well developed.

A mystery book with LGBT romance. The evolving romantic relationships between Mara, Casey, and Derek is what drawn me to this book; imagine when a lesbian has to choose between a woman who is lesbian as her or a man who loves her but she believes her relationship with him was over.

Great review. I am normally excited to read a new mystery novel; however I feel like this book is more geared to propaganda perhaps? I'm not sure. I personally have no issues with anyone's sexual identity I just don't want to read a book about a mystery and romantic stuff going on . Though on the flip side of that I can see how needing to know how the characters interact with one another is important too. I don't think this is a book for me; but who knows it may grow on me!!!

A mystery story that moves ahead steadily bringing out the internal processes and relationships that exist within police departments. Also, unlike most books these days, this one isn't a cliffhanger. Highly recommended.

I like stories that have short chapters that get you into the action and keep you there. This seems like a very interesting book that I would love to read featuring aspects of both a thriller and an LGBT romance.

'Volunteer Review: B-Side by Janis Jones' gives an idea of the mystery novels to new readers of the genre. The theme of homosexuality has been presented in a straightforward way in the review. The relevant points of the story have been explained clearly. It is an expression of the positive opinion of the reviewer about the book!

I love crime fiction, but don't think I want to dabble into the romantic aspect centred around the LGBT community. I'll paas on this one. Thanks for the review.

The book sounds like a wonderful reading wrapped in mystery and suspense. I like the novel is built from short chapters and mostly dialogues. Great review! Thanks!

this book sounds thrilling and exciting. A crime story about a hate crime in the LGBTQ community sounds interesting.

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I immediately found myself transfixed in this book. The suspense created by the author with the short chapters and fleeting scenes was extremely well written. I am happily adding this book to my reading list.

From the sample I read, the book is well-written. I might consider reading the whole thing, as I have Kindle Unlimited. A little violent for my tastes, but the mystery angle may ameliorate that issue.
