The review is a great summary as it was able to cover wide topic of the book including the theme. The protagonist's role is essential as it portray many life lessons ranging from being determined,self-egoism,proud,humility and lots more. Also, the review covers an aspect of life as a child and the influence of parental negligence. It's a great review.

Thanks for an interesting review. I think the journey of Hiram McDowell's rise and fall could have been interesting if the author had managed to develop the emotional side of the story more. In my case, I wwanted to give up reading many times because neither the characters nor the human interactions moved me in any way.

I like that the author explored some of the issues that are constantly being neglected in the society. Such as politics involved in healthcare and journalism. Also the misplaced focus in charity organizations and parental negligence. It's a good thing the protagonist learnt his lesson. I enjoyed your beautiful review. Thanks.

The story is about a selfish and egoistic person. The rise and fall of Hiram is definitely interesting. I would love to read and recommend.

I always find it interesting to read about the rise and fall of a character. This does sound interesting. I'd like to find out if McDowell ever does actually redeem himself. I do like the idea that this book keeps the reader very engaged. Thanks for your insight!

this book really shows the life of a self-centered person like Hiram, when you have this kind of attitude, people around you won't matter to you, you step on people to get to the top and still don't appreciate them. I can say he's going to regret most of his actions on the long run. also, family is so important

I sampled the book on Amazon. Hiram is the lead character who is an interesting character and has both positive and negative characteristics. A fictional story set in different locations of the USA on the life of Hiram. The writing style is smooth. Cheers :) :)

I am a fan of William Coles work. His keep-guessing plot always fascinates me. This theme is again successful where the journey of the doctor is described in parts,i.e, his success and his downfall and the lessons learned by him in his entire experiences in life. Great work!
