This is a cop mystery novel. It addresses homosexual relationships and the stereotypes people associate with them.

I love a good page-turner, especially one with well-developed characters. I'm also glad the book approaches how complicated the dynamics of relationships can get, and how prejudice can make it especially hard for people in the LGBTQ+ community.
I do find frustrating when I can't tell who's speaking in the dialogues but, hopefully, the author will take your comments into consideration and fix it.
Thank you!

I am a huge fan of mystery so I'm sure this is a book I would enjoy. The short chapter are also appealing to get through a book in small chunks.

I don'and I think this type of book is for me. I love detective stories however there is a different nature about this book which is making me uncomfortable. Congratulations though on the BOTD. There is a nice plot to it however not my kind of tea.

This sounds like a great book for fans of mysteries and detective stories. I like the idea of short chapters devoted to one scene and a fast-paced story. This was a very interesting and informative review

The sample pages really didn’t grab my attention, but your review was great and gave me good insight into what the book is about. I’m not a big fan of mystery especially that focuses on violence and intimate relationships. I am passing on this one, but thanks for the information.

I think B-side is very interesting due to the jumbling of crime and romance. The reflect of the other side of a detective life makes the book real. The best part is that the book is short that I can't hesitate reading
Janis Jones has done great work. Especially in explaining the crime scenes where Derek and Mara are involved. Its very fascinating.

I just added this book to my bookshelf and labelled it as a want to read book. After reading your review I understand that is more of a movie/movie than an actual descriptive proper book.

As a mystery novel it doesn't sound very interesting.

You mentioned that the mystery is solved and that there is a satisfying end for the most interesting characters of the book. That sounds amazing! I am glad that you enjoyed reading the book so much! Congrats to the author on the 4/4 rating!
