True. I desperately looked for a way to connect the stories. But it didn't take away from the beauty of the book.

I completely agree with this. With his background and getting into a new kingdom, his naivety makes sense and it was very endearing. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him, too. Yes, this is a very promising and interesting book. The naïveté displayed by Bray drew me to him. Thank you all for commenting.
