I feel like Beth's an underdeveloped character. She appears very soon, but hardly contribute much to the plot. Even in book #6, she only plays a little part in helping Galen navigate through Caromentis' worlds. She is a likable character, so I wish the author would give her more time to shine.

This book is indeed full of suspense. Thanks for stopping by!

I agree with you! I hope the lack of female characters will be remedied in the sequels. I liked the demon part.
Great review!

I think I read a review for the first book that also mentions the lack of strong female characters. And I honestly didn't realize that then. And now you, same issue for the 2nd book. And again I did not realize it while reading
Reading through the comments here gave me more reasons to finish the 3rd book and the rest of the series.
Great review, lavenderbooks20. Keep it up!

Oh come on🄺 Why are they not giving us females a stronger character? I'm beginning to conclude that Voulhire is a partriachal county. 😿

I think so too šŸ˜…, but then again there’s still four more books to read in the series so I’m not giving up any hope yet. Thanks for the comment!

Great job identifying the strength and some of weaknesses without losing your objectivity. I am just now reading the first book and hope that the series develops Galen's character.

It's unfortunate that the book does not have a strong female presence. However, it sounds like an amazing story with diverse themes, from magic to capitalism. Galen sounds like a well developed character who drives the plot of the book well. Thank you foran amazing review.

I have read the third book in this series. I have also noticed that there are less or insignificant female characters. Matthew has developed a good plot but needs strong women characters to make it better. Thanks for the review.
