I also agree with you that the targeted audience was men. Your review was detailed and interesting to make me what to read the book. Thank you.

Doris Nzeket Mongwe nee Fonta wrote: 22 Jul 2022, 06:37 Very articulate reviewer. Well done. The devaluation of women however turned me off from reading the book.
Very kind of you to say so, thank you Doris Nzeket Mongwe nee Fonta. I understand your feelings about the book. Women are not well represented but the men don't always represent themselves in a good light either!

You are welcome Mrs. D O. Exactly. Men don't always represent themselves in a good way. The irony is that I actually think that men should be highly involved in addressing this long-term crisis of bringing down their mothers, sisters, and wives. If they look at us from that perspective, I think honor and dignity in women will be restored.

I'm grateful for your comment Ezidimma 01. I hope you get a chance to enjoy the book. It did provide some interesting insights into the minds of the male characters.

It is very interesting to study the nature of men on an intimate level. For me, as a sociologist, this is very fascinating to read. Thanks for the nice review!

I love to travel and to read about others' travels, so I think I would enjoy this book. However, I wouldn't care much for the sexist portrayal of women. Nonetheless, I would like to give it a try. Thanks for an excellent review!

I agree that the target audience is men. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story. It was difficult to decipher what was real life and what was fiction. The author's writing style was excellent. Congratulations on writing such a thorough review. Well done.

Thanks for your kind comment Mechito Mecherchito. I imagine that your sociological perspective would make the book more interesting. I'll look out for this perspective in your reviews now!

Thank you Prisallen. It is a shame about the sexist portrayal of women in the book. It was irritating but, towards the end of the story, you might notice some changes in the narrator's attitude.

Thank you sayoniwrites. I initially found it hard to believe that the men would behave as they did. I concluded that it was realistic behaviour for some men though, and I kept wishing they would just grow up!
