I am interested in the book. Jennifer's character is intriguing, and the fact that it relates to our current cultural and environmental situations is a bonus. I appreciate the reviewer's detailed summary and the author's vivid writing style. Congratulations to the author for being selected as BOTD!

I am intrigued by your review, John. I sampled the episode of Jennifer preparing to send her best friend Kylie on the mission to the 27th century, to infect the Syndos population with the sense of morality virus. So, having read your review, I wonder what happened with that mission and how Jennifer found herself in the centre of the novel and in the 21st century :) And, I agree with your all-stars rating - it is a fast-moving and riveting read!

I loved how you highlighted the scene with Jennifer and Kyoko trapped in the Polynesian cave after an earthquake. That mix of high adventure, survival elements, and archaeological discovery woven into the sci-fi narrative has me hooked. A book that can blend genres like that while maintaining excitement is a real page-turner.

Great review! Wow, a well-rounded, female-led sci-fi adventure just in time for National Women’s Month! All I’ll say is…if you’re going to have a protagonist with the last name “Hero,” the story better be on point on all fronts lol.

Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Traveling through time will drag the heroine of this story, Jennifer, into a very interesting and exciting adventure, in order to connect the past, the present, and the future. The novel combines adventure and science fiction on the one hand with historical intrigue on the other hand, and sends noble messages through which it calls for preserving the environment and paying attention to heritage and human history. Successful review :techie-reference:

The premise of '30th Century: Escape' sounds intriguing, especially with its focus on time travel, personal growth, and adventure. Jennifer Hero's journey through time, grappling with her identity and mission, seems like a compelling narrative. The review's mention of her interactions with characters from the 21st century and the emphasis on relationships adds depth to the story, making it more than just a science fiction adventure.

"30th Century: Escape" offers a thrilling blend of sci-fi and personal discovery. Jennifer Hero's journey from a future leader to a time-traveling agent in the 21st century is both an adventure and a profound exploration of identity and purpose.

Great review, John! The book sounds interesting, but I am not such a sci-fi fan, so I will probably skip this one. I am glad that you enjoyed 30th Century:Escape.

This is a beautifully written review, but I must say I disagree with the 5/5 star rating. In my opinion, the book wasn’t developed enough. I just wrote a review on it today, hopefully it will be published soon. I love your review though!

What happens when a leader decides to go into past to relive something. While other time travelers are on a mission. This is an inter species book. What more do we need to add to the theme to add it to our to be read list. :techie-studyingbrown:

This is an excellent review. I agree with you that the author's wonderful blend of adventure, science fiction, and historical intrigue makes this novel a thrilling read. I read the Kindle sample of the first book in the this trilogy. A renowned scientist, Levin had worked on the Apollo and Mars projects. He has used his professional experience to create a riveting science fiction fantasy spanning over ten centuries that zone in on three significant periods. Through time travel, a team of the Secret Society of Scientists in the 30th-century returns to the 27th century to correct a DNA flaw (no moral compass) in the Synods (a civilization of artificial intelligence bent on wiping out humans (Naturals) using the water supply to sterilize them. The commander of the mission, Captain Jennifer Hero, operates the time machine to send the team back in time but then adjusts the settings and sends herself back to 2015 before destroying the machine, trapping everyone in their periods. Why did she do this? Levin has written a fascinating story that compels me to explore this mystery further. I look forward to finishing the novel.
