Three friends on a boring journey to nowhere seems a bad idea. And the author used 451 pages for it? There must be a redeeming value in those pages.

Hahahaha. Now when you put it that way, it just cracks me up. You are right, I spent so much time trying to find the point to the whole book, but it was a futile search and suddenly, the book ended abruptly. So I'm like, what the...?

I really like the style of your writing and liked how you listed many positive points even though you found it so boring. Maybe the book would be better if it had a stronger plot to carry it. Don't think I'll be reading this one!

The rating of a book isn't only based on whether the reader enjoyed it or not. I didn't enjoy it but it was well written, perfectly edited, it had many things going for it, I had to rate it appropriately. The story, if there's any at all, bored me stiff. But it teaches some core values of life. I always try to be objective in my reviews. Thanks for your comment. I love it

I dont see why authors do it- end the books abruptly. It is important to keep the pace. They take is slow in the start and then rush it in the end. Nice take on the review.

? honestly, a little more time and effort would probably have made a difference to the story. I think it's slow in the beginning because they mostly introduce their characters and their different complexities. Thanks for your comment dear. I appreciate it a lot

I love the fact that the author placed great importance on family and friendship.

I love this book and I guess that there are plenty of life lesson I can get on this book. I like historical fiction , too. It sounds great. Cheers!
