I read a lot of fiction, but We are Voulhire is a powerful novel. Matthew Tysz has a talent at holding an audience's attention. The stories and characters are believable, and he doesn't talk much. It is easy to imagine the events that are being detailed. The language used is perfect, and the writing style is excellent. Although it does have some religious expression, the book is neither erotic nor religious, despite the fact that it does contain various erotic languages. There are some vulgarities in We are Voulhire as well, so be aware if you find anything like this upsetting.
The one to watch out for is Galen Bray. I think he plays a bigger part in this work than first appears. Despite knowing very little about the craft of forging, he inherits a forge from his great-uncle. However, during his quest to learn more, he meets his uncle's executor and an imbuer, and the two of them set off on a quest to revolutionise the forge. They quickly run into a number of unanticipated problems, the least of which is the lack of raw materials for their production.
We're The first volume of a nine-book series, Voulhire, picks up where the last one left off, with Voulhire experiencing some psychological turmoil. First off, a significant city has had to replace its leader three times in a short amount of time; a rebel group whose primary goal is to destroy the kingdom is growing stronger and appears to be moving;Because of a lack of optimism, some poorer counties are starting to revolt. It seems like a significant development for Voulhire's continued existence is imminent.
It's hard not to appreciate Matthew Tysz's verisimilitude—he's a talent who makes his characters come to life. I'm eager to read the entire We are Voulhire series as well as look forward to obtaining them all.

The story follows Galen Bray, a humble refugee from a war-torn land, as he inherits property in the powerful kingdom of Voulhire. With a strong sense of gratitude, Galen is determined to make a new life for himself and contribute to his adopted homeland. However, he soon discovers that Voulhire is plagued by deep-seated troubles, including the threat of the Riva Rohavi rebels and the imprisonment of a powerful wizard.
One of the standout aspects of this novel is its well-crafted world-building. The author's inclusion of a map at the beginning of the book is a thoughtful touch, allowing readers to visualize the fantasy world of Voulhire. The narrative seamlessly switches between first and third-person perspectives, effectively differentiating between the world of Voulhire and Galen's perception. This clever storytelling technique adds depth to the characters and their motivations.
The characters themselves are unique and well-developed, with distinct personalities that shine through in their descriptions. Galen, the protagonist, is relatable and innocent, making him an endearing character to follow. The supporting cast, including Rowan, Lord Eldus, and the enigmatic Lord Meldorath, adds complexity to the story, keeping readers engaged and curious.
While the pacing may be slow at the beginning, the story gradually unfolds, revealing surprising twists and turns that will keep you hooked. The climax, although frustrating, sets the stage for the rest of the series, leaving readers eager to continue the journey.
In conclusion, I highly recommend "We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" to fans of science fiction and fantasy. With its intricate world-building, engaging characters, and suspenseful plot, this book is a must-read.
Rating: 4 stars
