Hilarious, absurd and frightening sounds interesting and well drawn characters are something to look forward to! I will check this out. Nice review.

This anthology is definitely not for everyone, certainly not for the faint of heart. The description “hilarious, absurd, and frightening”, is certainly interesting. This sounds like a good fit for fans of short stories as well as the off beat, strange and bizarre. Thanks so much for sharing.

This book sounds like it's right up my alley! Dark humor...check. Anthology...check. Scifi, fantasy, horror...check. I can hardly wait to read it.

I do not usually like story collections but the title story sounds hilarious! I enjoyed your review, thanks :)

This sounds like a very interesting and curious read. Fortunately, vulgarity does not turn me away, so I will definitely be checking this book out.

This sounds like a book for me! The title itself is very attention-grabbing and your review's just made me even more interested in giving this book a chance. Comedy and gloominess feel like a perfect combo and I've enjoyed similarly themed stories before. Thank you for your review!

I am not a great fan of short stories. I liked the reviewer's description of the book, which is very detailed. However, disruptive, tumultuous and frightful stories might not be my favourite read. On top of that, I might not have the strong stomach recommended by the reviewer in order to read this book. :shock2: Great review, though.

A book that contains 19 short stories of humorous yet dark stories sounds interesting to me!

Based on the review this is not a book that I would enjoy reading. I don't have a strong stomach so the gross content would probably upset me. I'm also not a fan of short stories. The vulgarity of the book makes me pass on reading the whole story.

Even though I have not read this book yet, the author of this review did a great job of giving me a sense of the spirit of the book. The author clearly loved reading it, and I got a sense of this zeal as I read his/her review. It made me want to read "A Second, Less Capable Head"!

I like how neatly the author fit in the warning against vulgarity without deterring me away from reading it too; the reviewer also gave it 4 out of 4 stars, which he/she explained very well. This rating made me want to read the book even more.

Vulgarity and dark humor don't appeal to me. Thanks for the warning in your review. I'll be sure to skip this one.

A Second, Less, Capable, Head, is the title of this book and the first story of the book. This book contains a fine collection of short stories with well-developed characters, and all the stories are different with an element of humor.

No offense, but Virgil looks like a Chernobyl victim in the drawing. I would love to win a copy of this book because I have always been a fan of bizarre stories like this. I also like how there is an element of history involved in the stories because Virgil is a tea party dissident. I look forward to reading this book soon. By the way, I have a very strong stomach and a taste for vile imagery. Thanks!

I actually DID get this book last Feb, but I only read the first story. It was well written, but I was pretty sure I knew where it was HEADed - ha! - and the ending was even worse than the one I'd imagined; I actually ended up mentally writing my own epilogue to make it more palatable. With that, I didn't know if the other stories would be just as disappointing, and I'm still not ready to give it another go.
