ShailaSheshadri wrote: 20 Nov 2018, 23:16 Thanks for the excellent review. It appears like Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon is an intriguing novel that can entertain everyone. The story is about a headstrong orphan girl who shows up suddenly at her grandfather's home. The story is traditional, yet modern in many ways. Characters are well-developed. The novel scored 4 out of 4 in the review.

I'm curious to know what happens as Sarah, Tom, Myra, and William journey along on an homage trek. It should be a lovely and real tale for those interested in the genre. Great review.
There had been a significant number of unexpected details I've found along the way, and yet the piece didn't disappoint at all. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and kind words.

Grantham8589 wrote: 21 Nov 2018, 00:05 Thank you for such a beautifully written review Espie. Your delicate and descriptive vocabulary expertly described the characters, scenery, and plot. I felt as though your words were your own and not regurgitated summaries from generic reviews.
Being that I’m from Portland, Oregon, and lived in Vancouver as well, I get especially nostalgic with anything pertaining to the Pacific Northwest.
Mr Charlie Sheldon seems to know the lay of the land and I’m excited to explore how he views the area through his characters.
Needless to say, I am pretty excited to dive into Strong Heart. This is the first book in a series, which is an added bonus of all goes well.
None of what we express is perfectly our own. It is not just because of the logical likelihood that a person or two may have already uttered similar things at random places in our world that we're not aware of. It's more because language only came to be through the constant use of the same agreed-upon and understood sets of sounds, symbols, and other conventions for communication. More often than not, it is the combination, use, essence, intended meaning, context, purpose, timing, medium, situation or processing of those words that could make the good difference.

Vivid imagery is not absent in this piece. The characters are relatable despite the supposedly fantastical elements. The piece wasn't what I initially expected it to be, but I hope you'd read and find it as worthwhile as I did.

Thank you for sharing your profound thoughts and your kind words.

Mely918 wrote: 21 Nov 2018, 00:14 I already read and reviewed this book myself. I agree with you that it's very well-written. Definitely wouldn't be a book for people who prefer factual accounts. The only thing I didn't like about it was Sarah's story, but that's just my own opinion.
It's not a total surprise to encounter differences in views and choices at all. That's fine, though. No two people could be perfectly alike, indeed.

Setting aside irony as a figure of speech used to drive a point, there are parts that may initially be minute and negligible. There are those that are so salient to the whole's existence, too.

Thank you for your honest comments.

It is about family, relationships, struggles, and moving on through life's twists and turns, among all else. We can get a closer look at the characters and immerse ourselves in the situations and adventures they were in, too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Not only does this make you a credible source of information, but your powers of persuasion are, in fact, so strong that you have me questioning my own rating of 3 out of 4 stars. Bravo! If this review alone doesn't convince readers to purchase today's BOTD, I don't know what will. You really have a way with words, and, if I were an author, I would feel the luckiest person alive to have you review my book. Outstanding job! Thank you! :-)
Understanding the nuances and use of language is something that fascinates me at times. It's good that my husband bought me a Style Guide as a Christmas present, so I've got something to satisfy my curiosity even better. We all have our own unique perspectives, I believe, so I won't say your rating would be for no reason at all.

I am quite humbled by your kind words. Thank you very much.
