We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is an amazing adventure of magic and the characters are amazing to know. There are 6 books after this one and I would love to continue on the journey I started on. A must read if you love people, adventure and magical fantasy.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting fantasy novel about a young man who lives in a land wrought with strife due to the emperor’s sons. When he receives a letter to take over his uncle’s blacksmith business, he jumps at the opportunity thinking it will be better. That does not seem the case however. Will he get away from the troubles that plague the land? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Matthew Tysz did an excellent job at keeping the reader engaged in every chapter and for articulating the story in a perfect flow.
I like how Tysz is very attentive to detail regarding his descriptions of the places and characters. The entire book awakens the imagination and makes one feel present in each part of the story. I like that an important mystery in this book has been solved so one feels some sort of closure while at the same time, there are still many unsolved mysteries that makes the reader look forward to reading the following book of this series. I appreciate that Tysz included some helpful information, starting with a map at the beginning, making it easier for one to familiarize oneself with the places mentioned in the book as well as a reference guide at the end of the book that includes phrases and words which one may be unfamiliar with.

"We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies" is such an amazing book, and reading it was one of the best literary experiences I’ve had. Your review is very detailed and reminds me a lot of the magnificent qualities of the book, as well as one of my favorite protagonists, Galen! Excellent review, and congratulations to Matthew Tysz for this masterpiece!

Seems like 'We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies' offers a captivating journey through a richly detailed world filled with complex characters and intertwining stories. Its mix of political intrigue, magical mysteries, and deep themes makes it a must-read for fantasy fans, and I'm a fantasy fan.

"We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz is a book in which young Galen Bray is the protagonist. Young Galen has come to the city of Magnum Caelum to inherit his uncle's forge. Parallel to this plot, the kingdom itself is sinking into chaos. All characters in the book are well thought-out and authentically described.

Nice review! It sounds like we have a good number of classic fantasy/regency/royalty tropes here. As long as they’re written well and there are fresh spins to put on them, these stories will never get old. It appears that this book managed to accomplish that nicely.

This was a really captivating novel to read. The tension created by the character's presence alone was so gripping that I was in suspense until I finished the book. Congratulations on BOTD.A

Thank you for the well-written review.
Throughout the entire novel, there is a gradual build-up and a lot of magic. My curiosity was piqued by the magic; who would possess these abilities? Which characters might possess this secret ability?
This is not the typical genre of book I would read however I loved every second of it!

Galen Bray takes over and adjusts to the new city of Magnum Caelum in the kingdom of Voulhire. King Wilhelm's paranoia and fear of coup amidst political and personal dramas is interesting to read. The set-up lures the readers in.
