Books like this should never be left unread, because it's full of lessons to learn from. I love it so much. I thought it won't be much interested at first until I was captured by the characters displayed.

Seems like a great inspiring story about a celebrity with relatable issues. I also believe that true art comes from pain, and it sounds like the trauma suffered from childhood has influenced her life a lot.

I loved your review and could tell how much you loved the book. I liked that you bolded the quotes that you liked and provided commentary with them. I knew somewhat about the struggles that Barbra went through as a child, but I was not aware of the extent. It is amazing to know how much she overcame and how successful she is now. I loved the quote about being yourself and being an original.

The way your excitement and joy come through in your review made me smile. It also piqued my interest in reading this book. Thanks for the review and I am so glad that you shared such an in-depth look into the values the book puts forth. Even though it is fictional, this book does sound like it can show how to overcome adversities in life to be successful.

I think the review is too biased. The overall rating that the book has got was 2.7, yet the reviewer has given a perfect score, highlighting a number of good points. I agree that the book might contain good stuff but the review seems too good. And it has been recommended for all, with which I cannot agree. Anyway thanks for the descriptive review

This book isn't for me, but it may be interesting for fans. This is not a memoir but a fictional story about the life of Barbra Streisand. She went through many tragedies but still continued to be successful. Congrats on book of the day! I can see that you were really moved by this book.

The author has cleverly used interviews and secondary sources about Barbra Streisand to create a work which delivers many home truths about life and inspires people to overcome adversity. We must be careful to acknowledge that this is a fictional story, and that the author has advised that she never psychoanalysed the actress.

Great review. I am gland that you enjoyed reading the book. It is very sad to find some parents being biased to their own children, however the child who is subjectected to this hatred ends up succesful in life. Just like barbra's life story. Congrats, I will definitly give this book a try.

I wonder if the author interviewed Streisand for this book because your review makes it sound so real even though it is a fiction novel. I am glad the book moved you. Thanks for the review.

This is the longest review I've seen! You obviously loved this book a lot. Barbra Streisand is an inspiration to a lot of people. I'm glad to see her story continues to excite people. With this being fiction, I wonder how much is accurate.

Streisand definitely has a unique story. I am not particularly interested in this memoir, so I am going to pass on it.
