Thanks for the thorough review. It is good to note that the chapters are fairly short because that is how I prefer a book to be. Nice to know that the characters are well-developed too.

Based on the review this book is not something that I would enjoy reading. I am not a fan of crime/mystery thrillers. I will pass on reading this book.

I really like how you’ve reviewed the book. The way you refer to the characters shows that you read it thoroughly and your review is insightful and helpful. Further more, your summary with concise and it did not give away any spoilers. Great review! :D

I like that you mentioned about the pacing and quick chapters. For me, this is necessary in a crime/thriller book. The image of the book Ian one that I would not pick up or read more about but your review makes me think I should this book a second chance and ignore the cover art.

I love mystery novels. Although this is a mystery novel, I feel as if people battling with their own sexual preferences might be able to relate on some level to the book also. Great review!

Sounds like a complicated read though subject wise doesn't intrigue my interest. Thank you!

From the review, it looks like is a romance with a mystery background rather than the other way around. It sounds interesting... plus, I've found I enjoy a lot reading about lesbian relationships for some reason.

I took a chance and read this first-time author's crime novel - and I am happy to say it was a wonderful decision. She deftly intertwined life in Los Angeles on many levels: from the eyes of a bartender, a homeless man, and detectives working to solve a potential hate crime.

She writes with a modern, conversational style, eschewing some formatting standards to present a timely and captivating read. I especially liked that the visuals were so well done, it was more like watching a movie than reading a book. I look forward to her next work, and clicked "Follow,", so I will be sure not to miss it. I do not believe you will be disappointed. This book is nearly 200 pages and, for avid readers, a great way to pass the day!

I agree that this book is a page-turner! I also liked how short and detailed the chapters are which made me want to read more. I enjoyed the crime/mystery aspect of the story too! While I do enjoy a good romance story, homosexual romance is not one of them, so I will have to pass on this one. Thank you for the review!

Mystery novel fans are lucky to have another well written, and a satisfying read. I like it that the mystery is solved, and the reader is left with a satisfying ending. Its very interesting characters has added to its attractiveness. Though I'm not a fan of this genre, but I'll still give it a try. Thanks for your review!

Even though I normally love crime mysteries, this one just isn't calling to me. I don't particularly care for the crime in question, and I especially don't like the would-be love triangle aspect. So, I'll pass on reading this, but thanks for the review, just the same.
