I have only recently signed up to review books on here. I was worried that the books they had available would not be to my taste. Imagine my surprise when the very first book I interact with upon waking in the morning makes me beyond excited to read! I love the weird and vulgar, and have a special place in my heart for short stories. Thank you for the great review, I am even more excited to read this!

I do believe that short stories are the trickiest to compose. You need to pack the nessessary details in such a pace that will not lose ar bore your readers. Good review and kudos to the author.

At first, I was thinking I wouldn't want to read it but since you said it's bizarre now I'm curious!

A collection of uncommon stories, interesting.
When I saw the title, I though two heads are better then one isn’t always the case. Great review.

First of all, the cover art and title of this book are fantastic and super creepy. I downloaded this book immediately, though I don't generally like short stories, these sounded way too weird to pass up. The sample really intrigued me and can't wait to read the rest! Congrats on BOTD!

I absolutely loved how unique and bizarre these short stories but, as you mention, I think this isn't a read for everybody. The parody of political issues, as well as the raw and cynical narrative tone, might be offputting for some readers. I want to read much more of the author now!
Thank you for your honest review.

A collection of bizarre and frightening stories may sound fun and intriguing for some. I don't feel this is for me. I will pass this one. Thanks for the detailed review.

This review's candid examination of this book's content, style, and the potential audience is appreciated. I have an appreciation for satirical works and grim humour, so I may just sample a story or two to determine whether I would want to read this book.

Thank you for the review! This certainly seems like a different book. It definitely breaks the mold! I would love to read this book. A lot of books seem so similar when it comes to story line, often they are predictable. The author has definitely shown his creativity with these imaginative stories.

I love James Hanna's imagination and quirky sense of humor in this collection of short stories. Reminiscent of Kafka, his satire targets the absurdity of people's actions. For example, the dialogue between Virgil and the doctor about removing his second head is both hilarious and sad. Thanks for an interesting review!

A Second, Less Capable Head as a title, is a bit of an eye catcher that makes you go, “Hmm!”. Then discovering that the book is a compilation of short stories does render an appropriate starting point for me for my re-entry into the world of fiction. Therefore this review attracted me to do so.

One question though, what does “gaging” mean? A gag reflex? Then shouldn’t it be “gagging”?
