I enjoyed reading and reviewing a previous book in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat series and found it to be very cute and fun. This one seems to be similar so it will probably be excellent for children learning to read.

Great review! I particularly enjoyed your review as I read and reviewed this book recently. Like you, I liked the unique storyline where Inca and her crew visited Sri Lanka. I thought it was a nice way to introduce the country's customs and sights to kids.

Didn't know it was possible for a book to be adorable and mysterious at once. A perfect one for kids.

Thanks for your review! While I probably won't be reading it myself, I think that this book is great for children interested in animals and detective stories. A mystery-solving cat is unique enough to grab the attention of curious children. I think that the bright and colorful illustrations will also help younger children stay interested in the book. The setting in Sri Lanka could also teach children about a culture they may not know about.

I can't wait to start reading this book. I have been trying to find more books that are fun to read and yet educational for young children. I have many children in my family and I would love to have them read it. This review was really helpful in telling what the book was about and also the criticism. I will definitely have to learn more about Sri Lanka since the reviewer stated about the book not focusing on the historical sites. I could see this as 3.5 stars but will withhold my judgement till I read it fully.

As a former educator, I find this book very appealing and appropriate for students who are ages 5 to 8. Some 9 year olds may enjoy the boy if they are slower readers. The story itself is amusing and entertaining. It was well designed by using animals as main characters in which to solve a major mystery while on vacation in another country. Presenting didn’t animal characters was also another interesting facet to the story. It showed that what we normally think of animals is not necessarily true. As you read the story, you can learn many lessons about friendships and different relationships with other people (animals). Great story for young readers. Would love to see something from this author along this lines for those young adult readers in middle school and high school.

This book sounds so adorable! I’ve never read a book where all the main characters were animals (not counting when I was younger haha). It seems like a very good fit for children. Very fun with a sprinkle of education!

Great review! Sounds like a fun book. I was able to read the first one. There were cute characters in it. The pictures in her books are adorable. I hope she had a picture of the cats riding the elephant.

Wow!
I love this, it's such an interesting adventure story. Good it might be somehow cheap for some older children to comprehend but it's still an interesting story that either adults or kids could actually learn from or better still love. I love adventures stories!

Great review. This sounds like a perfect book for parents to read with their younger children. Mystery, adventure travel, culture, and a lesson in working together and friendship, what’s not to love. Thanks so much for sharing.

I've just downloaded this book. I haven't read the earlier ones in the series, so I'm glad you say that's not necessary. I'm looking forward to reading this one with my 6-year-old, who loves cats and learning about different times and places through series like The Magic Tree House. You mentioned that the information about Sri Lanka could be more detailed, which is a shame. I don't think my daughter knows much about Sri Lanka at all though, so I'm confident that reading this will be a good start. Thanks for your review.

I'm always up for reading children's books with my younger siblings and niece, especially when the story has an interesting plot like this one. Nice review.

Cute premise. I may not be in the target demographic, but I know some who are. I'll give this a read and maybe recomend it to those people.
