As a medical graduate, I must say I love books written by doctors. However, I hate extreme morality portrayed usually in the protagonists on the background of a corrupt system. It doesn't really show the reality that well and it feeds into this new mainstream idea that doctors are bad and are all paid by big pharmaceutical companies :)). In reality...the majority of doctors I crossed paths with in my years studying medicine are just humans, trying to do the best they can for their patients.

It sounds like pretty much the only thing I would like would be the hospital scenes and patient cases — the human side of the book, you might say. I'm just not into the thriller type of writing. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though. Thanks for the interesting review!

When I read the title, I thought it is a children's book about giants. Am surprised to find out who the giants are. Amazing! It is a perfect review.
