I like mysteries and this one is right up my alley. Galen is an interesting character and how he deals with the strange occurrences in a new land will be the focus of this novel. There are other interesting characters like Rowan and its intriguing why a supposed to be dead person still brings fear to the people.

I'm not really a fan of fantasy but two things have captured my interest, firstly is the theme of nationalism, which evokes my interest in the book. Secondly is the use of satire. Congratulations on BOTD.

From the review, it appears the book is rife with plot twists and thoughtful pieces. I am not a great fan of mysticism but I love the part where you said it demonstrates how hope can be expensive. Indeed hope can be, and one might suffer the consequences.

I love the fact that this fantasy novel incorporates important themes like hope for a better future and fighting to achieve something beautiful and meaningful. I also love how readers are exposed to contemplate things like unification and nationalism. A truly one of a kid novel!

This is one I'll check out. I do enjoy fantasy and your descriptions of the plot and characters are intriguing. "The wind of change is blowing, and much is yet to transpire." (Kibetius, review) I like this line from your review. It says a lot with few words. It makes the book even more intriguing for me, wanting to connect the two. Thank you for a great review!

:techie-reference: :techie-studyingbrown: I read the free sample of the book, it has me very intrigued and wanting to know more and wanting to continue. I've been looking for a book that I could thoroughly immerse myself in. Each one I start (and I have many new ones), do not seem to grab me or catch my attention. This book, We Are Voulhire, I feel it is going to grab me just as much as a Stephen King book does. Very interesting characters, with magic and medieval mixed. A very entertaining read so far. I love the authors flow of words and characterizations. It leaves you wanting to know the next thing that happens. So far on the boat to a city within the kingdom a young man's story has yet to be revealed. Read it, I believe it'll find you glued to your chair. By the way I don't usually go for Syfy or fantasy but this could change my mind. Kudos to the author.

Your review is pretty good. From the summary you gave and the blurb on the cover, it seems to be built on an original idea which is nice. I might give it a try later this year.

This is one of the best books I’ve read, even though there were too many people that I couldn’t really remember.
