Good review. Sounds like a great mystery to find out who wants to kill Casey. I’m interested to see how this ends up. Detective Mara has to deal with a lot at work especially since her last relationship was another detective. I’ll add this to my list of must reads.

This novel isn't my cup of tea, but I am happy that it was well edited! Detective books are not my favorite. I do like that multiple different conflicts are going on. I feel like that would keep the reader more engaged in the story.

B-Side is a murder mystery with a tough female detective leading the investigation. The twist is that the detective is secretly the lover of the woman who is murdered. This is a real page-turner. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

I find the storyline quite engaging. I would like a mystery; however, I'm not much into romance and relationships dynamics in a mystery novel. I like that it is fast paced and has interesting characters. Thank you for reviewing the book.

I like how the author has told the story mostly through dialogue and very short scenes. That kind of technique is not as simple as it looks...and the interesting interrelationships sound good. I don’t normally read murder mysteries, but this one sounds well done from your review.

B-Side by Janis Jones is a mystery novel about a detective. The review focused especially on the relationship but not on the mystery. I would like to know more to grow my interest. Congrats on #botd.

A book on cop mystery will be fun to read with the complex relationships involved. I might be a bit conservative thou. All the same great review!

Crime and mystery usually are never bad reads. Here we are shown the complexities of sexuality in the work place which is very enlightening as per the review

I'm a big fan of crime/mystery novels, so B-Side is right up my alley. Mara sounds like a relatable character and I am curious to know how she's able to navigate her work and personal relationships. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm. I don't really care for crime novels, and the romance/triangle aspect isn't my cup of tea either. I think I will skip this one. Thank you for the review.

The conversation between Casey and Mara seemed to hint that they were lesbian lovers and this review confirmed it. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I love reading LGBTQ content. The rest of this book sounds like one I would enjoy.

This review is so insightful for readers that prefer shorter chapters to stay in a fast-paced scenario! It certainly made me interested in possibly having it on my bookshelf in the future, especially if it was given a confident 4/4 star rating. :D :D :D
