I really liked how the book started, but the way Alex devolved into an alcoholic womanizer was less than appealing.

This story-line looks quite interesting and I found the review enjoyable. Alex seems to be that kind of character with whom you never know what is coming next. This novel should be worth the read. Congrats to the author on #BOTD

The idea of travelling quickly is what appealing to me. I'm not sure whether I will like the lacking of character development. Anyway, I still would like to check this book because of the 'travel quick' alone.

This story sounds interesting, but I think I would dislike what you have noted how he does things without consequences and also using drugs, sex to cope with his new life.

Seems like there are a lot of plot twists and that Alex is a likable Character. I am not too interested in Sci Fi so I probably will not read. I added to my not interested bookshelf.

Alex is a complicated character that makes some very negative decisions in this first book. I really hope that he will change by the end of the series.

I am very interested in reading this book. I like the idea that he seems like a modern-day Robin Hood gone wrong. I have been waiting for a series book such as this to come along and intrigue me. I am interested to see what type of trouble he has gotten himself into. It is an interesting idea to be able to physically jump into the internet, and I am interested in seeing how this book turns out.

I agree that the way Alex grew overconfident in his ability to steal with minimal consequences was not a favorite part of the book. I wonder if the second book will address that a bit more.

Thanks for the good review but I think this one is too far-fetched for me.

Thanks for the good review. It looks like this novel is a treat for youngsters who imagine mysterious and good things happen in life. Alex, the protagonist, has a powerful ability to go inside the internet, manipulate the archived data, log into other's accounts and remove money, and travel to far away places by clicking a button. This is a fascinating fantasy novel that can entice young readers. The best part being Alex using the money for his luxury and philanthropic acts. Thanks to the author for the fantastic story.

A very interesting way to travel, but with disappointing consequences. Maybe this is to remind us that heroes are not necessarily free of all negativity, instead are gray characters. I loved how you mentioned whom the book will appeal to and who should stay away from it. Thanks for the review!

Some would rationalize Alex's behavior as altruistic by saying that the money is used for criminality, thus giving to the least fortunate is a means to an end. Others would argue that the theft from the wealthy does not rationalize the balancing of power. While his rationale might have been magnanimous at its onset, he clearly becomes hungry with greed somewhere along the way, thereby twisting his original intentions. From a reader’s perspective, this represents the classic blunder of those that come into power quickly rather those someone who acquires their authority over time.

I like the fact that Alex is able to make a lot out of life in spite of being disadvantaged at first by losing his parents. I admire his tenacity and philanthropic heart. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for your thoughts. I might as well read this sooner as I'm a fan with this kind of gente.
