I was fully prepared to HATE this book. I wanted it to be cliche and poorly written and have a sloppy plot. I was in for a SUPRISE!! Ms. Barr has really outdone herself! Her writing is superb, it is obvious that the book was carefully edited and her words were specifically chosen for maximum effect.
*Spoilers Ahead*
The sexual tension was to the max! Fey and Lucifer were sizzling and you could definitely see that in contrast with the scene between Fey and Conner. My favorite was scene was when Fey and Lucifer first went to dinner on the Empire State Building, it felt like the heat from Hades had drifted to my living room because it was getting so hot!
I also loved how daring Fey was. A young reporter working on two major stories at the same time. She had a fantastic back story, as did Lucifer.
The author did a fantastic job of resolving all of the conflicts. I thought there wouldn’t be a way for the two lovers to stay together realistically but the solution provided fit within the context of the story and was very believable. I give this book a 4 out of 4 stars!
