The book is the third in the series of Heartaches by H.M. Irwing.
The Writer, centres the story on Anna Walter Simmons, the Protagonists of the story. She faced betrayal from her blood brother Brian and ex boyfriend Matt Preston, both of whom executed the evil plan of Peter Preston (Matt Preston's Father) to have her raped.
In this third series of Heartaches, the story began as Anna Walter Simmons stared out the windows of her house, sobbing over the tragedy that had befallen her (the rape incident). She was oblivious of some of the happenings around her like the showers of rain, but later she looked at the direction where Matt Preston her past lover were under the rain meditating on the love he once shared with her. She was given a paper inscribed: "I never stopped loving you, Anna" by Matt via her maid Suzi. That couldn't change anything as she was still angry against him for been part of those who humiliated her, his prospective wife as it were. Rafe Luis Brown, Matt's Elder brother now standing as Anna's ally couldn't withstand his beloved Anna been hurt by Matt nor any of Preston's family again, went and confronted his younger brother, Matt to steer clear from Anna because she is now his.
The writer, H.M. Irwing also portrayed modern day trends of homosexuality as was the case of Dan and Pat.
Since this is the third series of the book Heartaches, I found it somewhat difficult to comprehend some scenes in the story owing to the fact that major development depends on the previous series. To better understand Heartaches 3, one will need to read the first and second series.
Nonetheless, the story is intriguing. The Writer did his best to capture the minds of his readers. Some of those intriguing scenes were: what happened at Aunt Bella's wedding day. There Suzi and Anna disguised themselves and made Jason Preston to have anal sex with his father Peter Preston. Another of such was toward the end of the story when Rafe Luis Brown went unarmed to track down Eric Dayton but was later tied and Anna seeking to save the life of her lover Rafe, she was also trapped in between.
The story may be said to be tragicomedy as the end was a happy one. The perpetrators of such tragedies meet their Waterloo. And Aunt Bella gave birth to a bouncing baby, Dan and Pat had gay marriage while the two lovebirds, the main characters in the play Anna Walter Simmons and Rafe Luis Brown were united in wedlock as husband and wife.
The book was professionally edited. One would hardly see any grammatical error(s). That been said, I rate this wonderful book 4 out of 4 stars.
I was not disappointed at all by the contents of this book. I believe all lovers of romantic stories will find the story interesting. But if you don't like romantic stories please don't read because there are some erotic scenes in the book such as during Aunt Bella's wedding.
Bravo! H.M. Irwing more ink to your pen, Sir.
